Terrain was founded on the idea that the key to creating a healthy ecosystem between culture, community and the environment lies in
understanding people’s reactions to and interactions with nature’s terrain.


In conjunction with Terrain, a diverse collective comes together to take on a variety of projects. Each pursuit is a constant effort to exper-
iment and improve at the margin between taking our natural environment as it is and responding to it in order to serve specific communi-
ties. Beyond this continuous collaboration with the terrain itself, it is the connections made between baristas and coffee roasters, wine-
makers and cavistes, distillers and mixologists, farmers and chefs, and more that make Terrain projects continue to grow and evolve.
